About our Workshop

in Dunmore East, Ireland

At Ideal Woodcrafts, we realize the benefits of working with our hands. We do our best to develop craftsmanship skills and make adjustments that will produce a consistent product for our customers. Since we don’t use computerised machinery, our products aren’t produced in “cookie cutter” style. Each piece is cut and shaped by hand and therefore will occasionally have some minor variations. These are not mistakes but exciting little character traits that give your product its own personality.


Working since 1996

Our History

Ideal Woodcrafts began in a small garage close to Dunmore East by a group of Amish Mennonite families. Using the skills they learned from their fathers or through life experiences, the founders designed and assembled those first pieces of furniture. Sales started growing, and so did the business. In 2007, a new workshop was built which continues to serve us well to this day. Since those first days, we’ve been able to expand and develop our line of products to meet the requests of our customers.

Our products are made with materials that will stand the test of time. All timber that is exposed to the elements is American southern yellow pine and is pressure treated with a life expectancy of 20+ years if properly cared for.
